Question: How to I become a registered translator?
Answer: The legal requirements of your status as a registered or licensed translator will differ based on your geographical location and/or area of work as a translator. Be especially careful if you are working in translating legal documents, birth certificates, medical records, or transcripts of some type. Contact your local government agency to find out if you need to become a "registered" translator and know the differences between that and what it means to be a "certified" translator within your country.
